Wow this week was such a  great week. They opened up our rules a little bit and so now we can start going into people's homes which is awesome. People have really started opening their doors to us. It seems like there is more of a trust factor when we are in their home. We have been working really hard this week. We got 9 hours of service which is amazing. We were helping this one lady and she was amazed that we would help her for free. She said that should would love to set something up for this coming week to come share our message of Christ. We are teaching this one guy who is 17. He little brother wants to be baptized and so we are going through the lessons with him as well. Matthew (17) really wants to go on a mission so it has been amazing to help him prepare for that. He has come such a long way and I am so happy for him. We are also teaching a family who is progressing really fast. Hopefully here in little bit they can be baptized. Anyways we had dinner with the Stutznegger family and they are literally the best. We helped them build their tree house. We saw a bobcat at the temple which was really cool. We are also teaching this couple who are in their 90's. They were models until last year. They give us cookies like twice a week so that is awesome. Here are so pictures from the week.

Howdy everybody!!!

I'm sorry for slacking and not sending am email last week but here is this one lol. This past week has been filled with many miracles. We have been able to get out of the apartment more and actually go out and see people which has been a complete game changer. It is so much easier to get to know people and express to them how much our Heavenly Father loves them and help them to know what Jesus Christ did for them. I have seen our message truly change people's lives and they can experience true joy from knowing and experiencing the repentance process. Since we can go out more I have been able to be more personable and truly be myself because I feel like it is a lot harder to do that through a phone call. I absolutely love everyday of being out here because everything is truly focused on helping people and inviting them to come to know who our Savior is. Since I'm a new missionary I got asked to speak this coming sunday so we will see how that goes lol. Anyways I love you all so very much and I hope you all have had a great week. I am praying for you all.
Ps I put the address in if you wanna send me stuff wink wink

Howdy everybody!!!

Ok so this week has truly been amazing. On the first day of getting to Sacramento I got to meet my two trainers and they are the absolute coolest. Their names are Elder Brock and Elder Feldman. Ever since the first day we have all just clicked. I can honestly say that I love them so much. We get fed multiple meals every day and it truly has been a blessing because we take turns cooking and we are all not the best lol. We have been teaching a couple of people but we are having a baptism tomorrow (December 26) and it is going to be amazing. Her name is Katlyn and she is the best. We have also been teaching a couple other people and it is so amazing to feel Gods love for them and see them come to know who Jesus Christ is and the joy that our message brings. They seem to light up like a candle. It is the best. The view out here is amazing. Oh and I forgot to say this but we had a miracle the other day!! There were lights that were around the temple and we had worked it one day directing traffic but anyways one of the people that we are teaching came and we talked to him for an hour. And we had a blast. He is progressing really well. Anyways here are some pictures from the week...

Dear Brother and Sister McCabe,

Your son arrived safely this last week in the California Sacramento Mission and it was a joy to welcome him as he arrived. Thank you so much for sending him to us.  There is a great work to be done in this part of the Lord’s vineyard and we are so looking forward to serving with him.  He is a fine young missionary and will be a great addition to our mission. We know he will come to love this beautiful and historic area and the wonderful people here as much as we do.

Missionary work is hard and strenuous. Much will be expected from your missionary. We pray for your continued support and encouragement of your son as he begins this challenging and extraordinary experience. You will have the great blessing of communicating with him on preparation days by phone or video chat. It will be a great blessing to him and to the work if you will email him each week and encourage him to be diligent in this great work.  Whether through phone or letters, please encourage him to think positively about his mission and avoid talking and writing about things that may cause him to lose focus and to worry or miss home and family. Encourage him to share spiritual experiences with you. It is a wonderful blessing to have a missionary and he, as well as your entire family, will be greatly blessed because of his consecrated service.

Our greatest desire is for your son to bring others to Jesus Christ, while at the same time becoming his own most important convert.

Sincerely,

President David W. Zimmerman                    Mary Lynne Zimmerman
